Project Description

On the outskirts of Richmond, near the historic White Hall grounds, a new vision is being explored.

Madison County has been working with a local group of war veterans to realize a public space that combines outdoor gathering and events with a war memorial honoring veterans from each of the seven major military conflicts of the modern age.

An amphitheater, cut into a natural depression on the property, anchors one corner.  Seating and parking will radiate outward toward the west end of the property that focuses on the memorial.

The memorial itself will contain exhibits honoring veterans and fallen soldiers from World War 1, World War 2, The Korean War, the Vietnam War, The Persian Gulf War, and most recently the War on Terror in Afghanistan and Iraq.  Interspersed across the Memorial Walk will be demilitarized vehicles, equipment, and aircraft representing different branches of the US military, as well as gathering pavilions and public utilities structures.

Our team is still working in the early stages of this project, and are extremely honored to be a part of such a valuable asset to a class of men and women who deserve the attention, respect, and commemoration that a memorial will bring.

Stay tuned for more…
