PIKEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC COMPLEX
Pikeville High School (PHS), located along the Big Sandy River in Pikeville, is in the midst of a campaign to completely overhaul their aging athletic facilities. Chief among them are the existing football team locker and training facilities. Built several decades ago, the aging structure has long been in need of a facelift – among other things.
i/A produced a highly visual design package early in the design phase which is now being used to complete fundraising efforts, while portions of the project are already under construction. The project utilizes an aging, existing facility that currently houses locker rooms, storage, and event space. Aside from the complete renovation and expansion of the locker facilities, the project also consists of infilling an outdoor swimming pool and converting the area into a small turf practice field.
