RED MILE
Since 1875, The Red Mile has been an important part of the cultural and physical fabric of Lexington, Central Kentucky, and the world of horse racing. It is one of the oldest harness racing tracks still operating in the world today.
integrity/Architecture was hired by the joint Red Mile + Keeneland team to renovate and expand the existing Red Mile facility to accommodate an entertainment center housing an all-new betting and wagering experience. The resulting 125,000 square-foot facility has more 900 gaming terminals in 138 themes as well as space for live music, special events, and more. Every detail of the design, from the arrangement of spaces to the styling of the exterior, serves a specific purpose; pulling inspiration from the culture of the Red Mile and greater horse racing community.
This new Red Mile Entertainment Center is a state-of-the-art entertainment facility and represents the first phase of a larger master plan that will expand and reimagine much of the remaining 80-acre site.
