THE MELBOURNE DISTRIBUTION CENTER
The Melbourne Distribution Center is one of those industrial campuses on the northern edge of Lexington that you probably don’t even notice when driving past. Made up of six inconspicuous, low-slung concrete buildings, the MDC is little more than a functional home base and receiving area for local and national businesses. We, on the other hand, think it can do better.
As part of a general cleanup effort, our team has re-branded the complex and brought it into the modern era.
In an effort to control cost, we developed a simple method of using dynamic paint schemes to create a cohesive, yet individual identity for each building. Not only does this approach add aesthetic qualities, it also helps with way-finding around the moderately confusing site.
Custom logos and site signage were also created to help tie each building together.
