Madison County Fiscal Court Renovation

This project focused on renovating the first floor of the existing Madison County Fiscal Court building in Richmond, Kentucky. This interior renovation modernized key spaces to better serve the community, including a full redesign of the Fiscal Courtroom, updates to public seating and audiovisual systems, refreshed finishes, and reconfigured office and support spaces.

Also included were upgrades to staff offices, a breakroom, and circulation areas—improving accessibility, efficiency, and workflow throughout the facility. Careful phasing and coordination with County leadership ensured minimal disruption to ongoing operations while enhancing the functionality and professionalism of this central hub for local government.

The entire interior of the building will be gutted and renovated to bring the facility up to modern accessibility, fire protection, and code-compliance standards. The exterior will be carefully restored, with all new lighting systems.

Our team developed a multi-phase/multi-building renovation plan and fast-tracked construction schedule to relocate all Madison County court functions and departments into temporary and/or new spaces. In March of 2020, the project was put on hold as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, but has since resumed and is approaching the final stages of design.
