FIRST MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH

Outgrowing their existing space and having acquired a parcel of land for new construction, First Missionary Baptist Church (FMBC) hired integrity Architecture to design and construct their brand new home.

At the heart of their new building, a large open lobby welcomes visitors. To the east of the lobby is a spacious 4,800-square-foot sanctuary that includes an 1,100-square-foot stage/platform, an elevated AV/technical booth, a large walk-in baptismal, and three entry/exit vestibules to minimize congestion. Filling out the remaining east wing of the building are several breakout rooms for small groups, bible studies and meetings, and lounge.

To the north of the lobby is a multipurpose area with a full-service kitchen. A door leading from the kitchen to a small cafe sitting on the outer edge of the lobby allows for members to easily transport coffee and other refreshments to guests.

The west wing of the building is dedicated to the younger FMBC worshippers. In the center of the youth wing is a 1,400-square-foot youth meeting area surrounded by five breakout rooms for smaller group sessions and storage space. Similar to the youth wing, a central gathering area anchors the children’s wing with five smaller surrounding classrooms. Accompanying the children’s classrooms is a dedicated pre-school room and nursery.

In addition to these core functioning spaces, the new FMBC building is equipped with ample office space, storage areas, restrooms, convenient drop-off/pick-up and parking.
