Completed in the fall of 2021, The Hindman Elementary School Addition and Renovation project was a long-deserved upgrade to the school’s aging spaces. This project began in 2019 as a classroom addition and kitchen renovation project. However, after discussing existing challenges with the Knott County Board of Education, we realized their needs extended beyond additional classroom and kitchen space.

Working with the Kentucky Department of Education and the Board, our team identified additional funding sources that could be allocated towards the school. The resulting project not only included much-needed classroom and kitchen expansion, but it also included a brand new state-of-the-art gymnasium complete with gathering areas, concessions, public restrooms, storage areas, and coach and staff offices.
